Former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has hailed the appointment of former External Affairs Minister, Prof Ibrahim Gambari, as the new Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Ekweremadu, who is the Chairman of the Senate committee on Environment, took to his Twitter handle on Wednesday to congratulate the new appointee who he described as a cerebral scholar and public administrator per excellence.
The Chairman of the South East caucus in the National Assembly said in the tweet:
“I congratulate the #ChiefofStaff to President @MBuhari, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari. A cerebral scholar, public administrator, and pan Nigerian, I’ve have no doubt that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear on the job.
‘He is very proficient and well-versed in the art of governance and administration to coordinate the business of government and the Office of the President very efficiently. I have no doubt that he will excel and I wish him the best”.
