Grand Tycoon Thrills Audiences at AY Live, Laffmatazz

Spoken word artist Tofarati Ige, popularly known as Grand Tycoon, recently performed at two major comedy events, entertaining audiences in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

He first performed at Laffmatazz, the comedy show hosted by veteran comedian Gbenga Adeyinka at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta. His performance caught the attention of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State for the 2027 election.

Grand Tycoon composed a rhyme for the senator on the spot, prompting an aide to bring him backstage after his performance to meet Adeola, who expressed his appreciation.

His set at Laffmatazz featured Life Na Jungle, Be Humble, Champions and Grace.

The artist subsequently performed at comedian Ayo Makun’s AY Live show at the Aztech Arcum Event Centre in Port Harcourt, where he entertained the audience with popular pieces, including A Woman Is, Salutation Is Not Love, Lagos Girls, God Is Able and Nobody.

A journalist and author, Grand Tycoon has performed at several events over the years and continues to combine his media career with spoken word performances.
