It’s been one year already for Hanan and her husband Mohammed Turad Sha’aban as they celebrate their first wedding anniversary. Hanan is the youngest of President Buhari’s daughters. The lovebirds are clearly enjoying marital bliss. To mark the day on September 4, Hanan and her husband took to their respective Instagram accounts with emotional words. “You are a prayer answered! Happy Anniversary Baby” Mohammed captioned a lovely photo of them together.

On her part, Hanan who is passionate about photography, shared same photo, writing: “Happy 1st My love”. Hanan’s husband is the son of a former lawmaker, Mahmud Sani Sha’aban, who was a member of the House of Representatives and a friend of the president. Their wedding ceremony was historic. It was the first-ever wedding ceremony held inside Presidential Villa, Abuja. It also necessitated two Juma’at prayers at Aso Rock on the day, one for the regular Friday prayers and the second for the wedding in order to respect protocols occasioned by Covid-19.

 

The First Lady, Aisha Buhari, whose excitement was immeasurable on the occasion of the wedding shared memorable photos from the event with outpour of emotion. “Today is a great and happy day for my family as we witnessed the wedding of my daughter, Aisha Hanan Buhari to Mohammed Turad Sani Sha’aban. I am overwhelmed by the outpour of goodwill and support from family, friends and well-wishers”, she wrote in a lengthy post on her Instagram page.

Recall that in preparation for the ‘First Wedding’, Aisha Buhari, flew to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in a jet belonging to billionaire Mohammed Indimi for the purpose of shopping for luxury items. Indimi’s son is the husband of Hanan’s sister, Zarah. Sooner than the high profile wedding invite for Hanan and Turad was sent out had it gone viral for reason being that days earlier, reports had emerged that Hanan was set to marry Turad, an aide to the Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola.

Hanan graduated with a first class in Digital Photography in December 2019 from Ravensbourne University, London. Hanan had in 2017 held an exhibition in Abuja, where she showed some of her projects. Tagged “Innovation by Hanna”, which attracted top names in government and industry’s A-list. She was lauded for contributing to changing the perception about photography, which is no longer for drop outs and the less-privileged in the society, but for the highly talented.

Muhammad Turad, who holds the title Wakilin Tudun Wadan Zazzau is the first son of Dan Buram. The groom’s father, who holds the title of Dan Buram of Zazzau has a very long robust political relationships with President Buhari since their days at the defunct All Nigerian Political Party (ANPP) to the present day at All Progressives Party (APC).
