Imam said the Bank was investing deliberately in its people, noting that its long-term growth and transformation depend on the quality, competence and character of its workforce.
According to him “Today is particularly significant for us because we are not simply graduating 62 trainees; we are welcoming 62 young professionals into the next chapter of their careers and, importantly, into the future of Keystone Bank.
“Keystone Bank has made significant progress across customer acquisition, deposit growth, profitability, digital innovation and industry recognition, and we are building on these achievements with even greater ambition.
“I expect these young professionals to see themselves as builders of an institution. As banking evolves, we need people who combine innovation with sound judgement, ambition with discipline, and, above all, integrity.”
“Your graduation is a beginning, not an end. Continue to learn, challenge yourselves and uphold your integrity. Skills may open doors, but character determines how far you go.”
Dele Alabi, president and chairman of Council of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), commended Keystone Bank for its sustained investment in the development of young banking professionals, noting that initiatives such as the Banking School were essential to building the next generation of industry leaders.

Also speaking. Abimbola Alabi, Head, Learning Academy, Keystone Bank, described the Banking School experience as both rewarding and transformative, expressing satisfaction with the remarkable growth recorded by the trainees during the programme.
Alabi said the programme was deliberately designed to develop not only competent entry-level bankers but future leaders capable of rising through the ranks of the financial services industry.
“What we have witnessed is the transformation of young graduates into professionals who are better equipped to understand the realities of the banking industry. We have seen them grow in confidence, knowledge, teamwork and leadership.
“Our expectation is that some of the people graduating today will become senior executives, managing directors and even chairpersons of financial institutions in the years ahead. We are planting seeds today for the leadership of tomorrow.”
The 29th Stream trainees participated in branch attachment sessions, sporting activities, social engagements, community service initiatives and a prison visit, among other activities. The activities were designed to promote teamwork, leadership, collaboration, social responsibility and personal development.
The graduands expressed appreciation to Keystone Bank for providing them with an opportunity to launch their professional careers within a structured and supportive learning environment.
