Celebrities, Families Gather as Smartmark Opens Mothercare Store in Abuja

Smartmark Limited proudly announces the successful opening of its latest Mothercare store at Jabi Lake Mall, Abuja, highlighted by a lively, immersive three-day in-store celebration from 1st to 3rd May 2026.

The grand opening began on 1st May with notable fanfare, featuring a beautifully decorated shopfront and an elegantly styled interior that reflected Mothercare’s premium brand identity. A key attraction was the lively presence of engaging mascots, which created a joyful and interactive atmosphere for children and adults alike.

Guests and shoppers enjoyed a distinctive “Shop, Sip & Snack” experience, offering a variety of finger foods, cocktails, and refreshing mocktails throughout the event.

The activation offered more than just retail; it provided a memorable lifestyle experience that resonated with families and modern parents.

A major highlight was the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by the CEO of Smartmark Limited, Mr John Onyeoguzoro, supported by Mr Abu Gobir, Director of Smartmark Ltd, and Ms Evelyn Kongbam, Brand Consultant for Mothercare Nigeria. The event was attended by prominent celebrities, including Zaaki Azzay and Danny Wilson, as well as esteemed guests and loyal customers.
