Ilesa Tech Community Launches Grassroots Initiative to Empower Secondary School Students in Ilesa.
The Ilesa Tech Community has officially commenced a grassroots outreach initiative aimed at equipping secondary school students within Ilesa and environment with foundational technology skills, reinforcing its belief that technology education should begin early and be accessible to all.
Earlier today, members of the community visited selected schools across Ilesa to propose a collaborative program focused on nurturing young minds through hands-on tech training. This initiative is designed to introduce students to basic digital and technological competencies, preparing them for a rapidly evolving, tech-driven world.
As part of the program, participating students will undergo an intensive two-day training session, where they will be exposed to essential tech concepts, mentorship and practical skills. The training will culminate in a tech competition among secondary schools in Ilesa, providing a platform for students to showcase their learning, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
Speaking on the initiative, Abiodun-Onajobi Treasure emphasized the importance of early exposure to technology said they believe that tech education should not be reserved for young adults alone. He further explained that by reaching students at the grassroots level, they are planting seeds of innovation, confidence, and future readiness.
This initiative aligns with the Community’s broader mission to foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and digital empowerment within the community.
The Ilesa Tech Community looks forward to working closely with schools, educators, and stakeholders to ensure the success of this program and to inspire the next generation of tech leaders.
