Kabo’s Son Declares Reps Bid, Picks APC Nomination Form

Fahad Dankabo, son of prominent Nigerian aviation pioneer and founder of Kabo Air, the late Ahmadu Dankabo, has declared his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Dankabo said his decision to join the race was driven by a desire to contribute to legislative development, strengthen representation, and address key challenges affecting his constituency, Gwarzo/Kabo.

The All Progressives Congress, has continued to attract aspirants ahead of upcoming elections, as political activities gradually gather momentum across the country.

Addressing a team of supporters, Dankabo said his decision to contest is not driven by personal ambition, but by a deep sense of responsibility to his people.

“For years, I have listened to the voices of our people calling on me to step forward. Today, I accept this responsibility with full commitment to serve, uplift, and represent the true interests of Gwarzo and Kabo,” he said.

Dankabo called for unity across all wards and communities, urging residents to rally around a shared vision of progress and development. He also advocated alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a strategic platform for delivering meaningful results.

Dankabo, widely known for his strong grassroots presence and accessibility, assured constituents that his leadership would usher in a new wave of energy, inclusiveness, and practical solutions.

He outlined key priorities for his representation, including: youth and women empowerment through skills acquisition and job creation; improved access to quality education and enhanced support for students; stronger advocacy for better roads, healthcare facilities, and rural development; and transparent leadership that listens and responds to the needs of the people.

“This is not just about winning an election. It is about building a future where every young person has hope, every woman has opportunity, and every community feels the impact of good representation,” he said.

Dankabo cautioned against political toxicity, emphasizing respectful engagement.

“I will never support the politics of insults or division. Our strength lies in unity, respect, and constructive ideas.”

The Director-General Media for the campaign, Aliyu Mai Wake Garo, said all necessary steps had been taken, including the purchase of nomination forms and the holding of strategic meetings with party leaders, who he said were optimistic about Dankabo’s chances.

“With growing excitement across the constituency, many believe Dankabo represents a fresh, people-driven movement, one that speaks directly to the aspirations of the youth and the underserved,” Garo said.
