Lagos Education Perm Sec Commends Caleb Schools

The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Education, Mr. Abayomi Abolaji, has commended Caleb British International School Lekki (Elementary) along with her sister school, Caleb International School, Surulere Campus for championing transformative education.

Abolaji gave the commendation when the schools paid him a courtesy visit to commemorate the International Day of Education, 2022.

The theme for this year’s International Day of Education is: “Changing Course, Transforming Education.”

The visit to the permanent secretary was led by Mr. Aderowo Emmanuel, Head Teacher, Caleb British International School Lekki (Elementary) and Ms Sola Adeola, Head Teacher, Caleb International School, Surulere.

While commending the schools for transforming education and introducing exemplary innovations, the permanent secretary reiterated the Lagos State Government’s resolve to enhance education, using technology.

He said “concerted efforts are being put in place to ensuring that computers were available in all classrooms aside from the computer laboratories already in place across all the schools.”

The permanent secretary expressed his appreciation to the delegation for the visit and promised more rewarding collaborations.

Earlier in his address, Aderowo commended Lagos State for giant strides the state had made in education and for setting the pace for other states to follow.

He said: ‘Last year, we had beautiful results in our WAEC examination because we embraced technology in teaching and learning and it is pertinent to note that Caleb Group of Schools is leading by example in this regard too.”

Caleb British International School, Elementary, Lekki and Caleb International School, Surulere are part of Caleb Group of Schools. The Group of Schools are privately owned co-educational Christian schools, that operate on the principles of outstanding academic, Christian and moral standards.
