Tinubu Support Group Vows to Deliver Bulk Votes for President in 2027

  • Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) in Bayelsa State has pledged to mobilise voters across the state and deliver “bulk votes” to President Bola Tinubu. The group made the commitment after its maiden meeting at the weekend, with its leadership saying it would take its mobilisation campaign to communities across the state in support of Tinubu’s re-election bid.The Bayelsa State Director of Media of TSG, Udengs Eradiri, said the group would mobilise across political, ethnic and social divides as part of efforts to secure victory for the president in the state.Eradiri, a former President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, said the group would use its grassroots structures to communicate what it described as the achievements of the Tinubu administration to residents across Bayelsa. He said the group, under the leadership of its State Coordinator, Preye Aganaba, was prepared to work with relevant stakeholders to build support for the president ahead of the election.“Our target is nothing but total victory.
  • And at the end of the day, we will ensure that Bayelsa delivers bulk votes to President Tinubu in 2027,” Eradiri said.He said the group would work with Governor Douye Diri and the various leadership structures of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to achieve its objective.Eradiri said the group believed the performance of the Tinubu administration had provided a basis for its campaign ahead of the election. He said the group would respond to criticism of the administration by presenting what it described as facts and figures on the government’s policies and achievements.“Those who speak against the president speak out of ignorance. We are going to show them the facts, the figures and the numbers that will make them change their perception and see the re-election of President Tinubu as a matter of public interest,” he said.Eradiri said the group would take its campaign to the grassroots as the 2027 election approached, promising to explain the administration’s policies and reforms to voters in different communities. He said the group regarded the president’s economic and structural reforms as necessary measures whose benefits would become more evident with continuity.“The Bayelsa TSG is ready and prepared to spread the gospel of the Tinubu administration.
  • We consider it as a privilege to support the president, who has demonstrated the capacity to take tough decisions in the interest of this country,” he said.Eradiri listed the economy, infrastructure, petroleum sector, energy, security and decentralisation among areas where he said the administration had recorded progress. He said the group would resist efforts to reverse what it described as gains of the administration and would continue to mobilise support for continuity.“We have collectively weathered the storm; continuity and consolidation remain the best way forward. Bayelsa will surely be counted among other states in this historic journey of consolidation,” he said. The group said its mobilisation efforts would intensify as political activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election gather momentum, with the objective of securing what it described as a decisive victory for Tinubu in Bayelsa State.
  • According to him, the TSG would focus on grassroots mobilisation, bringing together youths, women, students, traditional rulers, associations, indigenes and non-indigenes in support of Tinubu’s second-term bid.
