Inside the P-Square Family Feud

Peter Okoye, one half of the iconic P-Square duo, has spent the past several months releasing a video series documenting what he describes as a systematic financial betrayal by his elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye. The latest episodes pulled in a new name: Jude’s wife, Ifeoma.

Peter alleged that Jude attempted to transfer ownership of a P-Square property in Atlanta into Ifeoma’s name, a move he said he discovered and blocked after finding the documents.

The deeper allegation concerns a company. While P-Square operated officially under Northside Entertainment, Peter claims Jude quietly registered a separate entity called Northside Music, with Ifeoma holding 80 per cent of shares and Jude the remaining 20. The company was reportedly registered using the home address of Ifeoma’s parents.

Peter testified before the Federal High Court in Lagos that over N1.38 billion, $1 million and £34,537 in P-Square royalties were funnelled into this shadow company’s accounts.

The EFCC is now involved. Jude has been charged and has pleaded not guilty. His position has been that Ifeoma had no involvement in P-Square’s business and that all funds he received were within his agreed managerial share.

Ifeoma responded on Instagram without naming Peter or Jude directly. She wrote that she had no desire to defend herself before those committed to misunderstanding her, and that she was trusting God to vindicate the truth. She cited the biblical story of Ananias and Sapphira, prayed for healing and reconciliation, then restricted her comments after the backlash that followed.

The feud stretches back years, through a 2017 split, a 2021 reunion that Peter now describes as never having been genuine, and a final collapse in 2024 when he discovered the financial discrepancies. What began as a creative disagreement between brothers has become a federal criminal matter.
