OPay Launches ‘OPay is Okay’ Campaign to Reinforce Customer Trust

OPay has unveiled a new brand campaign, “OPay is Okay,” aimed at reinforcing customer confidence in digital financial services by highlighting the company’s commitment to security, reliability, and transparency.

The fintech company said the campaign reflects its belief that trust is earned through consistent service delivery rather than mere promises, at a time when concerns over online fraud, misinformation, and digital scams continue to shape public perception of financial technology platforms.

According to the company, while digital finance has transformed how millions of Nigerians pay bills, transfer money, save, and run businesses, building and sustaining customer trust remains central to the industry’s long-term growth.

Speaking on the campaign, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer of OPay, Dotun Adekunle, said trust remains the foundation of every financial service.

“Trust is the foundation of every financial service. Technology or innovation alone is not enough. People need to know that their money is secure, their transactions are protected, and the platform they use will be there when they need it,” Adekunle said.

The company noted that millions of Nigerians rely on OPay daily to receive salaries, pay bills, transfer funds, save money, and manage business transactions.

It added that the platform processes millions of successful transactions every day through a nationwide agent network, backed by continuous investment in security infrastructure.

According to OPay, the new campaign is more than a marketing slogan, describing it as a reflection of the confidence customers have developed through consistent service and dependable financial solutions.

Chief Commercial Officer of OPay, Elizabeth Wang, said the campaign represents the relationship the company has built with customers, merchants, and agents across the country.

“OPay is Okay is more than a campaign. It is a reflection of the relationship we have built with tens of millions of customers, merchants, and agents across Nigeria. Every successful transaction, every business we help grow, and every customer we support strengthens that relationship,” Wang said.

The company observed that as Nigeria’s digital economy continues to expand, maintaining public confidence in digital financial services will be critical to advancing financial inclusion.

It maintained that trust is built over time through secure technology, responsible business practices, transparency, and reliable customer service, adding that every completed transaction reinforces its commitment to users.

Founded in 2018, OPay provides a range of financial services, including money transfers, bill payments, airtime and data purchases, card services, and merchant payment solutions.

The company said it is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and that customer deposits are insured by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) under the same insurance coverage applicable to commercial banks.
