Otrac Telematics Expands Mobile Vehicle Tracking Services to 18 Nigerian Cities

Eight years after commencing operations in Nigeria, Otrac Telematics has expanded its mobile vehicle tracking and support services to 18 cities across the country.
Founded in 2017, the company provides GPS vehicle tracking, fleet management, fuel monitoring and vehicle compliance support for individual vehicle owners and businesses.
According to the company, its service model allows technicians to install tracking devices and provide technical support at customers’ homes, offices and business premises.
The expansion comes amid increasing demand for vehicle security and fleet management solutions as Nigeria’s vehicle population continues to grow.
Commenting on the development, the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Otrac Telematics, Mr. Adekunle Olanrewaju Emmanuel, said the company was established to simplify access to vehicle support services.
“We started because owning a vehicle in Nigeria often meant dealing with different providers for tracking, documentation, insurance and other essential services. Our goal was to provide customers with easier access to these services,” he said.
The company currently operates offices in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt while offering mobile installation and technical support in 18 cities nationwide.
Emmanuel said Otrac’s services extend beyond GPS tracking to include fleet management, fuel monitoring, driver support and vehicle compliance services.
He noted that while the company’s technology enables customers to monitor their vehicles, the recovery of stolen vehicles remains the responsibility of the Nigeria Police Force and other authorised security agencies.
Industry observers say the adoption of telematics solutions is expected to increase as businesses and vehicle owners seek improved fleet visibility, operational efficiency and vehicle security
