HoganHost expands global footprint with nine international domain accreditations

HoganHost has emerged as one of the foremost Nigerian-founded web hosting and domain infrastructure companies to extend its operations beyond Africa, following a major expansion of its international domain registry portfolio.

The company recently secured accreditation for nine globally recognized country-code top-level domains (ccTLDs), including .ME, .AI, .PR, .VC, .AG, .LC, .BZ, .SC, and .MU, marking a significant milestone in its evolution from a local hosting provider into a globally connected digital infrastructure brand.

The development places HoganHost among a select group of Nigerian-founded technology companies actively building a presence in the international domain and hosting ecosystem. Historically, companies such as Web4Africa have been recognized as early pioneers in Nigeria’s hosting industry with global-facing operations, setting the foundation for newer entrants now pursuing broader international expansion.

HoganHost’s latest accreditations further strengthen its ability to provide direct access to premium global domain extensions without intermediaries. This allows customers including startups, developers, entrepreneurs, and enterprises to register and manage internationally relevant domain names with improved efficiency, security, and pricing flexibility.

Among the newly accredited extensions, .AI stands out as one of the fastest-growing domain spaces globally, driven by the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence companies and tech startups. The .ME extension continues to maintain strong demand among personal brands, founders, and digital creators seeking distinctive online identities.

The company already holds accreditations with several major African registry authorities, including NiRA (Nigeria), KENIC (Kenya), RICTA (Rwanda ), UG Registry (Uganda), and ZARC (South Africa), reinforcing its strong footprint across the continent’s digital infrastructure landscape.

Industry analysts note that direct registry accreditation provides several advantages, including faster domain provisioning, enhanced technical control, improved security standards, and more competitive pricing for customers and reseller partners. These benefits are often associated with more mature, globally integrated domain infrastructure providers.

Speaking on the development, HoganHost Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Effiok Hogan, described the expansion as part of the company’s long-term vision of connecting African businesses to global digital opportunities.

“This achievement reflects our commitment to giving African businesses direct access to global digital opportunities. By becoming accredited for these strategic international extensions, we are eliminating barriers and creating a more efficient, reliable, and affordable domain registration experience for our customers,” he said.

He added that the company’s mission is centered on building infrastructure that enables African entrepreneurs and businesses to compete on a global scale through improved access to world-class digital tools.

Co-Founder Atim Hogan also emphasized that the expansion strengthens HoganHost’s ability to serve a more global customer base while maintaining its African roots and service standards.

“Our goal has always been to build infrastructure that empowers entrepreneurs, startups, and enterprises. These accreditations strengthen our ability to serve customers globally while maintaining the high standards of reliability, transparency, and support that HoganHost is known for,” she stated.

The expansion comes amid continued growth within the HoganHost ecosystem, including the integration of ZuumHost into its operations. The move is expected to enhance service delivery across web hosting, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and domain management.

With accreditations now spanning multiple African countries and key international registry partnerships, HoganHost is steadily positioning itself as one of the most internationally active Nigerian-founded web hosting and domain infrastructure companies.

The company also disclosed plans for further investment in cloud infrastructure, automation technologies, and global registry partnerships as part of its broader strategy to support Africa’s growing digital economy while expanding its presence in international markets.

As the global demand for digital identity and online infrastructure continues to grow, HoganHost’s expansion signals a broader shift among African tech companies seeking to move from regional leadership into global competitiveness.
