Group Launches AI-Powered Examination Grading Platform

Two Nigerian developers in partnership with not-for-profit organisation, Youth Orientation for Development (YOD), have launched an Artificial Intelligence-powered educational assessment platform, ExamFlux, designed to modernise examination grading processes across the country.

The developers, Godwin Iheuwa and Eze Akalugwu, said the platform is aimed at improving the speed and efficiency of grading theory-based examination answers through the deployment of Artificial Intelligence technology.

Currently in its beta phase, the initiative according to the developers, is expected to become one of Nigeria’s most impactful education technology innovations by reducing grading delays and improving assessment efficiency for students and educational institutions.

Speaking on the vision behind the platform, Godwin Iheuwa explained that with ExamFlux’s capacity to evaluate theory-based examination answers for large-scale examinations such as the West African Examinations Council examinations within minutes, students can receive their scores shortly after completing their exams.

On his part, Akalugwu noted that the platform incorporating a more intelligent and flexible approach to educational assessment beyond traditional grading methods, while accommodating the variety of ways students can express correct knowledge.

He further explained that the initiative was developed under an NGO framework to support accessible and improved educational technology for schools, tutorial centres, and other academic institutions.
