Imose Mobile Launches Pre-Commercial Network Testing in Nigeria

Marking First Step Toward Full MVNO Operations

Indigenous Nigerian mobile operator partners with Airtel Nigeria to deliver high-quality connectivity ahead of nationwide commercial launch

Imose Mobile, an indigenous Nigerian mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), today announced the commencement of pre-commercial testing of its mobile network — a significant milestone in its phased strategy toward full commercial launch in Nigeria.

The testing phase is designed to rigorously evaluate network performance, validate service quality, and fine-tune the end-to-end user experience before services are made widely available to the public.

Imose Mobile’s network is being deployed in collaboration with Airtel Nigeria, one of the country’s leading telecommunications providers, leveraging its established infrastructure to deliver broad coverage and high-speed connectivity across key markets.

Imose Mobile will operate within the 071803 number range, assigned to support its service identity through the testing phase and into full commercial operations.

The launch of an indigenous MVNO represents a meaningful development for Nigeria’s telecommunications landscape, broadening consumer choice and bringing a locally rooted operator into a market that continues to see strong demand for mobile services.

Commenting on the milestone, Michael Nene, Marketing Manager at Imose Mobile, said: “Today marks a defining moment for Imose Mobile and for Nigerian telecommunications. Pre-commercial testing puts us in direct contact with the realities of our network and that is exactly where we want to be. We are not building a product in a boardroom; we are building it in the field, for Nigerians, with Nigerian ambitions at the centre of every decision. Our partnership with Airtel Nigeria gives us a robust foundation, and we are confident that what we are building will set a new standard for what consumers can expect from a mobile operator.”

Imose Mobile has confirmed that further announcements regarding its commercial launch timeline, service offerings, and nationwide rollout will follow in the coming weeks.
