May Day: BSG Rewards Workers with Cash Gift

An auto-restoration hub, Body Solutions Garage (BSG), Abuja has given out cash incentives to its workforce in celebration of the 2026 Workers’ Day.

The initiative, aimed at rewarding the “craftsmanship and discipline” of its team, saw the company distributing significant financial incentives across all levels of the organization—from senior technicians to support staff and drivers—setting a high bar for corporate welfare in a challenging economic climate.

The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Body Solutions Garage, Dipo Olayinka in a statement issued Friday said the gesture was designed not only to thank the current team but to challenge other indigenous companies to prioritise the human “engine” behind their operations.

He noted: “Behind every perfect finish is a team that never cuts corners. Today, we celebrate the hands, the skill, the discipline, and the dedication that keep Body Solutions Garage moving forward every single day. From the workshop floor to final delivery, our people are the real engine of everything we do.”

The 2026 Workers’ Day reward scheme was highlighted by several top-tier merit awards designed to recognize long-term commitment and high-level performance.

Leading the honours for the day, the company’s Employee of the Year received a flagship cash gift of N250,000, while the recipient of the Team Excellence Award was rewarded with N150,000.

The company further recognised long-term loyalty by presenting N100,000 to the winner of the Service Milestone Award.

In a comprehensive show of inclusivity, the financial windfall extended across the entire organisational structure.

Several other employees, including the company’s drivers, received cash gifts in tiers of N60,000 naira, N50,000 naira, N40,000, N30,000 and N25,000 respectively.

The atmosphere at the BSG facility in Abuja was one of jubilation as employees expressed profound gratitude, noting that the gesture provides a much-needed boost to morale.

“I have worked in several garages in Abuja, but I have never seen this kind of direct appreciation for the ‘small’ workers like us,” said one of the logistics staff members. “It makes us want to work even harder.”

Olayinka urged the team to maintain their pursuit of excellence, stating that at BSG, every role matters and every contribution counts toward building a remarkable brand.

He went further to wish the entire staff a well-deserved celebration, noting that the garage remains committed to honoring the hands that keep the business moving forward.

In addition, Olayinka noted that the financial commitment was an investment in the “BSG standard” of excellence.

He added: “At BSG, it’s not just about fixing cars; it’s about craftsmanship, teamwork, and excellence. Let this day remind us that every role matters, every contribution counts, and together, we are building something truly remarkable. We wish our team a well-deserved celebration and continued success.

“The company hopes this gesture will spark a trend among Abuja-based SMEs and larger corporations to find tangible ways to support and motivate their workforce during the annual May Day celebrations.”
