Hon. Magaji Says Youth Inclusion Key as City Boy Movement Secures Edo Support for Tinubu

Youth leader Hon. Suleiman Abubakar Magaji has said youth inclusion remains central to national progress as the City Boy Movement secured support from Governor Monday Okpebholo during its South-South Youth Tour in Edo State.

The delegation, led by Seyi Tinubu, met with the governor at Government House, Benin, where discussions focused on youth mobilisation, empowerment and support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

Speaking at the event, Magaji said the movement was expanding because it addresses issues important to young Nigerians.

“This movement is resonating because it is built around real issues — empowerment, participation and progress. Young people want to be heard and included,” he said.

He described the Edo engagement as a major step in strengthening the movement’s South-South presence.

“We are grateful for the reception in Edo. This support reinforces that our message is connecting with the grassroots,” Magaji said.

He added that the movement would continue engaging youths beyond politics.

“This is not just about 2027. It is about preparing young Nigerians to become active contributors to governance and development,” he stated.

Governor Okpebholo described the City Boy Movement as a strategic platform and assured support for Tinubu’s second-term bid.

Magaji also insisted the movement would remain focused on empowering young people through constructive political engagement.

“The mission remains clear — youth inclusion, empowerment and progress. That is what we are taking across the country,” he said.

The group is expected to continue consultations across Edo’s 18 local government areas before moving to other states in the South-South region.
