Dogara Extends New Year Wishes, Prays for Better Days Ahead

Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, former Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Board of the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited (NCGC), has extended warm New Year greetings to Nigerians, assuring citizens of brighter prospects in the year ahead under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

Dogara expressed optimism that 2026 will mark a turning point for the nation, with reforms designed to strengthen the economy and improve the welfare of ordinary Nigerians. He noted that the administration has already laid solid foundations for growth and stability, and urged citizens to embrace the new year with hope and unity.

He emphasized that Nigerians can expect progress in areas such as improved security, economic empowerment, infrastructural renewal, agricultural transformation, digital innovation, and social investment programs. Dogara explained that institutions like the NCGC will make credit more accessible to small and medium enterprises, while ongoing investments in roads, rail, and power projects will connect communities and boost productivity. He also pointed to agricultural policies that will enhance food security, digital initiatives that will prepare youth for opportunities in technology, and strengthened safety nets that will support vulnerable households.

According to Dogara, these reforms reflect the administration’s commitment to building a Nigeria where opportunity is shared by all. He praised the government’s resilience and vision, noting that its efforts to diversify the economy and deepen democratic governance are laying the groundwork for a more prosperous future.

“As Nigerians, our strength lies in unity, perseverance, and faith in the promise of tomorrow,” Dogara said. “Let us embrace this New Year with optimism, knowing that together we can achieve greatness.”

He concluded by wishing every Nigerian a Happy New Year, expressing hope that 2026 will bring peace, progress, and prosperity to every home.
