Dr. Nonye Soludo Named 2025 Humanitarian First Lady of the Year
The wife of Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has been named the 2025 Humanitarian First Lady of the Year in Healthcare and Child Support at the prestigious Nigerian Humanitarian Awards & Magazine ceremony held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, on Friday night.
Dr. Soludo was honoured in recognition of her outstanding contributions to healthcare advocacy, child support, and her widely celebrated initiative, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, which has become a household brand in Anambra State and beyond.
In her acceptance speech, Dr. Soludo expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing the award as a call to greater service.
“I couldn’t be any less grateful for the grace of consistency and support. Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo has come to stay. For each laurel and accolade that comes our way, we take them in the manner of greater expectations. This one is special,” she said.
She dedicated the award to the Healthy Living family and the children of Anambra State whose lives, she noted, remain at the heart of her advocacy.
“To all of you who come out each Saturday morning to work out with me, and to all the beautiful children in Anambra whose life and future have been reassured by what we do — this is for you. You are the pride of what we do!” Dr. Soludo added.
Speaking on the recognition, Mr. Emmanuel Anabueze, Founder of the Nigerian Humanitarian Awards & Magazine, said the award reflects Dr. Soludo’s relentless passion for promoting healthcare, wellness, and child-centered development.
“Dr. Nonye Soludo has redefined what it means to serve as a First Lady. Her initiatives have directly touched lives, restored dignity, and inspired healthier living for children, women, and families across Anambra State. We are proud to celebrate her as a model of impactful humanitarian leadership,” Anabueze said.
The Nigerian Humanitarian Awards & Magazine is one of the nation’s most respected platforms dedicated to celebrating individuals and organizations whose service to humanity continues to transform lives and communities across Nigeria.
