Nigerian Sales Strategist Simplifies Business Education for African Entrepreneurs

Toyin Akaninyene Udoabba, widely known as NaijaSalesmaker, is blazing a trail in Africa’s digital business space by equipping thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools to launch and scale profitable online businesses. Through her flagship platform, the Life Changing Sales Academy, Udoabba has trained over 53,000 individuals—many of whom now earn up to seven figures monthly.
“My name is Toyin Akaninyene Udoabba, also known as NaijaSalesmaker. I am an entrepreneur, a business consultant, Real Estate Investor, digital marketer, and a sales coach,” she shared in a recent interview.
Udoabba’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2004, born from a deep desire to escape poverty. While working at an advertising support firm, she registered her first business and participated in high-profile branding projects for companies like Chivita, Dettol, and Dabur Toothpaste. As the digital landscape evolved, she adapted by mastering digital marketing and launching NaijaSalesmaker in 2018.
“I saw how so many hardworking people were struggling to make money simply because they didn’t know how to sell. I wanted to teach people how to make money using simple sales and digital marketing strategies, especially people who were not tech-savvy,” she explained.
The Life Changing Sales Academy has since grown into one of the most trusted training hubs in Africa. “It has been a journey filled with growth, mistakes, learning, and success,” Udoabba recalled. “Over time, I focused on what worked—helping people make money using their phones and the internet.”
Udoabba’s work has had profound ripple effects. “Some of my students have gone on to start their own coaching platforms, others now run factories. My goal has always been to empower people, and that’s exactly what we’ve done,” she noted.
Despite early challenges in building trust online, she remained consistent. “I kept showing up with real value, results, and stories from my students. Over time, the results started speaking for themselves.”
Her leadership style is rooted in support and purpose. “We are not just selling courses; we are changing lives,” she emphasized. Innovation also drives her operations. “Whether it’s simplifying how we teach, testing new content styles, or creating new offers, we always try fresh ideas.”
Udoabba’s message to new entrepreneurs is straightforward: “Start small but start smart. Focus on solving one problem and do it very well. Most importantly, sell something. No sales, no business.”
Looking ahead, Udoabba envisions her platform as “Africa’s number one platform for practical business education.” She aims to expand globally, especially targeting Africans in the diaspora with new products, large-scale events, and broader impact.
