Peller Congratulates LAUTECH Alumni President, On Appointment As NPA Director

A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Shina Peller, has congratulated the President of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Alumni Association, Olalekan Badmus, on his appointment as the Executive Director, Marine and Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

Peller’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued on Sunday where he expressed confidence in the ability of Badmus to turn things around positively in his new role at NPA.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had named Badmus alongside others as the new Executive Directors in two agencies under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, namely: NPA and Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

The former federal lawmaker described President Tinubu‘s decision as a well-informed one, adding that Badmus would make significant contributions to the growth of Nigeria’s Marine and Blue Economy ministry and Nigerian economy at large.

He said: “I congratulate my dear brother, Engr. Olalekan Badmus, who is the President of our prestigious LAUTECH Alumni Association, on his appointment as the Executive Director, Marine & Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

“Right from our days at LAUTECH till date, you have always exhibited impressive leadership traits and abllity to turn things around positively at any slight opportunity.

“Indeed, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made a well-informed decision in appointing you as the NPA Executive Director, and I am very confident that you will make significant contributions to the growth of the nation’s Marine & Blue Economy sector and Nigerian economy at large.

“As the global president of our prestigious LAUTECH alumni association, we are very proud and delighted to associate with you, and we pray that God bestows on you the required strength, wisdom and understanding to deliver excellently in your new role. Amen.”
