The immediate-past Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, yesterday dismissed insinuations suggesting that he was at loggerheads with his successor and incumbent state Governor, Abdullahi Sule.

Al-Makura made the clarification in a chat with journalists shortly after paying a visit on Governor Sule at the Nasarawa State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

The former governor restated his commitment to working together with his successor as one united family toward making the state a better place for all.

He, therefore, dismissed such rumours and insinuations as the antics of those jostling for political space, who are counting on creating confusion and all manners of bad blood in order to create the avenue to participate.

According to him, “That has not taken our commitment, affinity and camaraderie together. Whatever you hear is a rumour and it remains a rumour. And that is the fuel that energises politics.

“As far as I am concerned, we are working together as a united family that will wish Nasarawa State to be a better place for everyone.”
