The North Central Patriotic Democrats (NCPD) yesterday appealed to the people of Shendam/Qua’anpan/Mikang federal constituency in Plateau State to re-elect their incumbent member in the House of Representatives, Hon. Komsol Alphonsus Longgap.

The NCPD therefore, appealed to the Shendam/Qua’anpan/Mikang federal constituency people to present Longgap as their consensus candidate in the 2023 general election.

The patriotic democrats made the appeal at a press conference in Lafia addressed by its chairman, Hon. Musa Yahaya Rilwanu, to mark end of year 2021 activities of the group, justifying that the re-election appeal was based on his (Longgap) contributions to the development of the country.

The group said: “Longgap has proved to the world that politics is not a do or die affair but an affair to improve the life of the people irrespective of religion, or ethnic background not minding ones level in the society. This man has changed the minds of people in his constituency and even people in the country within a short period of his high political ambition.

The NCPD continued that the Shendam/Qua’anpan/Mikang representative has done a lot within his short period of his stay in the National Assembly which his people have testified.

Among his achievements, according to the NCPD, “include construction of Yashi-Delrit and Gun road, empowerment of 50 women in his constituency with the sum of N50,000 each, rehabilitation of Sabongida Bakinkogi bridge, which was at the verge of collapse, re-introducing the bill for the establishment of Federal Polytechnic Shendam which has been approved, among others.”

The group therefore, called on other politicians in the North-central geopolitical zone of the country, especially lawmakers, to emulate the efforts of Hon. Longgap in the provision of dividends of democracy to the people of the zone.
