The Experience Finally Arrives

Following last year’s virtual edition of the gospel concert, The Experience, it returns today in a hybrid format that allows registered participants to take part in live sessions at The Rock Cathedral, Lekki, with millions of viewers tuning in via telecast and streaming.
As usual, it maintains a lineup of international and local gospel artistes sharing the same stage — a feature that has appealed to many. The final list of confirmed acts billed to perform in a few hours at the Rock Cathedral Lekki includes Donnie McClurkin, Jr., Travis Greene, Sinach, Tim Godfrey, Nathaniel Bassey, Sinach, Mercy Chinwo, Ana Paula Valadao, and many more.
Held since 2006, the concert, each year, attracts attention to Nigeria as one of the biggest Christian gatherings in the world. Excited about its decade and a half impact in various spheres, convener and Founder of the House on the Rock Church, Pastor Adefarasin said:
“One of the most gratifying features of The Experience is its ability to transcend borders, suspend prejudices and truly unite people of all races, cultures, colour of skin, ethnicities and denominations as hearts fuse in ardent worship, exhilarating praise and fervent prayer to our Creator.”
He continued: “The Experience continues to be a huge driver of diverse Kingdom culture and the creative industry, influencing positive ideological shifts, shaping identities, stimulating innovation, forging meaningful relationships and collaborative endeavours, and fostering economic liberation, for example, allowing indigenous talent to display their creativity and exposing them to an unprecedented global audience via continental and global television, alongside live internet streaming.”
“Our numerous feedback mechanisms show that SMEs (small and medium scale enterprises) have been birthed in sectors as diverse as food, hospitality, clothing, memorabilia, security, technology, media and entertainment, facilities management, events management as well as logistics including aviation, ground transportation and local and international travel management,” he concluded.
