Legislative Aides Disrupt N’ Assembly Sitting over Non-payment of Outstanding Wages

National Assembly legislative aides on Tuesday disrupted legislative activities at the parliament, protesting against the non-payment of their salaries, minimum wage and duty tour allowance, among others.

The federal lawmakers, who were billed to resume plenary after a 19-day Easter recess, were however prevented by the aggrieved workers from accessing the chamber, chanting solidarity songs.

As at the time of filing this report, the leadership of the National Assembly is yet to address the protesting workers
