Firm Launches LMS to Curb Youth Unemployment

Worried about the rising rate of youth unemployment in the country, a recruitment platform, Gr8jobsng has launched the Learning Management System (LMS) to improve the level of employability among jobseekers and to help employers get the most suitable candidate for job roles.

Speaking at the launch in Lagos recently, the Managing Director of Gr8jobsng, Mrs. Omomene Odike, a human resource expert with over 14 years industry experience, said the LMS comprises over 40 courses assessable via the www.Gr8jobsng.com and it covers a wide range of assessments from interview skills, how to search for a job, writing a good CV, business writing skills, customer service, critical thinking, sales and marketing, leadership, time management, among others.

She said the objective is to prepare and make the jobseeker more appealing to potential employers through short and interactive courses on the go.

“Candidates who take the assessment on the training programmes would be able to view their scores and have a certificate issued which can be printed out directly from the Gr8jobsng platform and presented at interviews.”

Odike stressed that in today’s digital age, Learning Management Systems are here to stay as more and more organisations are adopting it as it is providing a solution that is attractive, reliable and cost effective. She said having run a HR consulting firm for over 14 years, she understands the recruitment process and how it is important for employers to get the right employees.

She called on all Nigerian youths to embrace the initiative and start developing themselves through LMS courses and stop complaining that they cannot get jobs, as Gr8jobsng has taken a call to action in reducing unemployment in Nigeria through the launch of the LMS programmes.

She said the courses will appeal to secondary school and university students, job seekers, entrepreneurs and other members of the public that are interested in acquiring skills to better their lives.

Also speaking, the Head, e-Commerce at Gr8Jobsng, Mr. Victor Chibundu said the Launch of the LMS was initiated out of the company’s passion to help reduce the “threat” of unemployment among the many youths in the country.
