Anuoluwapo Alimosho Primary School, has emerged champions of the 2018 Fab-5 â€“ Challenge, after defeating Saint Paul Anglican Primary School, Mainland, by a lone goal in the final played last Saturday at the Campos Mini Stadium, Ajele, Lagos Island.
Pelumi Ajewole scored the only goal of the match to pave the way for Anuoluwapo Alimosho Primary School, to win this year’s edition of the Fab- 5 Football Challenge.
While presenting the awards, Temitope of Indomie Noodles, commended the organisers of the competition for being consistent, stating that, the brand would continue to support the initiative since it was aimed at building children into the next generation of footballers that could represent the country in the future.
Also speaking after the competition, FC Barcelona, Lagos, Technical Director, Bernat Villa, revealed that, his academy had picked a lot of talented young players in Lagos, adding that the players had improved as a result of learning the academyâ€™s methodology and football philosophy.
Villa said: â€œSince I arrived Nigeria, I have seen a lot of players and there are lot of talents because of their physical condition and technical ability. The talents weâ€™ve picked in our academy have improved a lot,â€ he said.
In her remarks, Marketing Consultant, Rite Foods Limited, Yetunde Jack, said her company decided to partner with organisers of FAB 5-Aside Football Initiative because it was not just a competition but a good course that was impacting children positively.
The event, was also supported by Zenith Bank Plc, Blaugrana Sport.
