Seaman’s Schnapps Extols New Olota of Ota

In its efforts to continue promoting Nigeria’s culture and tradition, Seaman’s Schnapps felicitates with Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege during his coronation ceremony as the new ‘Olota of Ota’ in Awori Kingdom, Ogun State recently.

Seaman’s Schnapps, the original prayer drink extolled the new monarch on his ascension to the revered throne, thereby sustaining the rich tradition and heritage and culture of the Awori Kingdom.

Speaking at the event, Brand Manager, Seaman’s Schnapps, Mr. Adebowale Bojuwade said: “The ascension to the throne of the new Olota of Ota is a remarkable feat, which stand to be cherished by sons and daughters of this great kingdom. Likewise, Seaman’s Schnapps being the original number one prayer drink, which has over the years established its importance to royalty across different cultures and tradition is proud to associate with the monarch on this great day”.

He further said “Ota is the home of Seaman’s Schnapps and we are proud to be part of rich history & legacies being made in Ota. So it is important that Seaman’s Schnapps is here today as the conveyer of an enduring blessing that will bestowed on us all through-out the reign of this monarch. We pray that we continue to have a lasting Peace, Progress and Prosperity of Ota land and the entire populace.”

Also speaking on the importance of the occasion, a prominent Ota indigene and close associate of the new Oba, Alhaji Fatiu Akinsanya, said “Today’s occasion is another historic moment in the history of Awori Kingdom. I am very happy and glad to witness the ascension of Oba Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege as the Lanlege Ekun II in my lifetime.

He also appreciated the presence of Seaman’s Schnapps for making the history of Awori people a memorable one. He praised the contribution of the company to the development of Ota and the entire Aworiland.

The brand partnered the Olota Coronation Central Planning Committee to usher in the monarch in a memorable occasion. Seaman’s Schnapps provided the drinks for the prayers and libations at the coronation and erected a special pavilion where it entertained visitors as well as distributed gifts items and souvenirs to guests during the occasion.

The coronation was well attended by the council of Obas in Ogun State and prominent indigenes of the State. Some of the dignitaries that graced the occasion include former president of Nigeria and Balogun of Owu, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and Senator Akin Odunsi, who also happens to be the coronation committee chairman.
