House On The Rock Church Extends Love to Communities

House on The Rock Church, led by the Founder, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, in its annual demonstration of practical love, has extended food materials, medical care and other gift items to various communities in Lagos. In the Church’s corporate social responsibility initiative tagged ‘Project Spread’, over 3,200 families and individuals were fed and they also received various items provided by the church while 300 participants received free medical screening and treatment in its usual show of love to mark the birth of Jesus Christ.

In a statement, the Senior Pastor, Paul Adefarasin, said “What we are doing is to demonstrate love in a practical form as exemplified by our Lord Jesus. House on the Rock Church believes in practically impacting positively on the lives of the people, much more the less privileged by providing help and spreading real love beyond the preaching of the Word and teaching of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ whose gospel we teach today and whose life we are called to emulate also fed the people.”
Among the communities visited in the church share of love’s Project Spread this year include Lagos Island, Ajegunle, Elegushi and Sangotedo. The activities recorded massive turnout with a lot of excitement.

Adefarasin informed participants about the church’s plan to set up Soup Kitchens at some designated locations in Lagos in 2017. The objective is basically to feed the less privileged and it would be executed through various collaborations with UAC Foods, Mr. Biggs, Honeywell and other food industries, as a way of abating the recession and undue hardship among the people.
