- Party wades into Oshiohmole, deputy feud

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the pioneer National Secretary, Alhaji Musa Tumnsa, has said that the ruling party is on the verge of transforming into a more cohesive and vibrant entity able to actualize the dreams and aspirations of the people.
His view came just as the national leadership of APC on Monday waded into the succession crisis brewing between the Edo state governor, Adams Oshiohmole, and his deputy, Chief Odubu by setting up a five- man committee to reconcile them.
Speaking in an interview with journalists in Abuja on the almost one year of the party in government at the federal level, Tumnsa said that the new APC has to be able to fuse together “different sets of cultures, different dynamics and different political perspectives.
He said some of the expected changes in the APC may affect the existing party constitution.
As part of the metamorphosis, Tumnsa said the APC is presently taking steps to prune the membership of the Board of Trustees (BoT) to make it less burdensome and more result-oriented.
“After the election, that synthesis I mentioned earlier has to happens some cultures has to give way, some improvement has to be made and a new APC has to be brought forward with a different sets of culture, different dynamics going forward and different political perspective.”
