Association of Resident Doctors at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology ‎Teaching Hospital Osogbo on Wednesday said that the management of the hospital has sacked a good number of their colleagues.

The President of the Association, Dr Adeyinka Owolabi, stated this in Osogbo during a press briefing held at the ARD lounge LTH, Osogbo, but he was not specific on the number sacked.

He said that there is no con‎crete agreement towards addressing the impasse, contrary to the news being circulated in some quarters.

‎He called on all well-meaning Nigerians to intervene in the lingering industrial crisis between it and Osun state government.

The resident doctors at the hospital have been on strike for more than seven months over issues relating to unpaid salaries, among others.

He urged President Muhammadu Buhari to prevail on the state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, to meet their demands in order to avoid the looming collapse of health care delivery in the state.
