HoS Assures Workers of Better Welfare Package

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoSF), Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, has expressed the federal government’s determination to  provide a conducive environment for its work force to help drive its the change agenda.

She disclosed this in Abuja during a town hall meeting with members of the Joint Union Negotiating Council (JUNC) of her office held at the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN).

The HoS noted  that government was not unaware of the deplorable facilities at various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), which hinders workers from performing their duties diligently, saying government would do everything humanly possible to provide a conducive working environment for workers in order to ensure optimum productivity.

She assured  that the present administration under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari was committed to the provision of better welfare services for workers so as to help ameliorate their sufferings particularly in the area of provision of decent and affordable accommodation.

She stressed that modalities are being worked out on how workers could earn their own home through the Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) Programme with little or no pains.

On the issues of pension and other financial entitlements of workers, Oyo-Ita assured that she would leave no stone unturned to ensure that all matters relating to pensions and other financial entitlements of workers are resolved.

She reminded the workers of the need to imbibe the highest level of discipline during their official responsibilities, as well as shunning  all forms of corrupt practices and strictly operate according to the Public Service Rules (PSR).
