Nigeria’s major carrier, Air Peace, has promoted two of its accomplished Senior First Officers (SFOs), Felix Adebambo and Emmanuel Adeniji, to the prestigious rank of Captain on its Embraer 195-E2 fleet.
The milestone decoration ceremony, held at the airline’s corporate headquarters in Lagos at the weekend, was graced by the Chairman/CEO, Dr. Allen Ifechukwu Onyema; Director of Flight Operations, Capt. James Onipe; Head of Training, Capt. Gerald Udaya; and family members of the newly promoted Captains.
Setting the tone for the ceremony, Capt. Onipe highlighted the impressive career trajectories of both officers, acknowledging their accumulated flight experience, exceptional performance during training and successful completion of the rigorous assessments required for their elevation.
He noted that their promotion was a testament to their technical competence, discipline and readiness to assume the greater responsibilities of aircraft command.
Reinforcing this position, Capt. Udaya underscored the importance of strict adherence to operational procedures, sound judgment and an uncompromising commitment to safety, reminding the officers that the privilege of command comes with an even greater responsibility to protect lives and uphold the airline’s operational standards.
