Ragnarok Property Development Limited has hosted the latest edition of its Purple Town Hall, bringing together more than 150 real estate professionals, industry stakeholders and partners at the prestigious Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel in Lagos.
The event, spearheaded by the company’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Barrister Adebiyi Alex-Adedipe, was organised to recognise outstanding realtors based on sales performance, while creating a platform for industry dialogue, networking and knowledge sharing.
More than 10 high performing realtors were recognised and rewarded with a range of incentives, including a 2019 Lexus RX350, 5KVA generators, 50-inch televisions, water dispensers and international trips to Morocco.
Beyond the awards, Purple Town Hall provided an opportunity for participants to engage with prominent voices within the real estate sector through a panel discussion focused on opportunities and challenges shaping Nigeria’s property market.
Speaking during the event, Barrister Adebiyi highlighted the importance of creating a more supportive financial environment for property developers. He noted that the cost of borrowing remains a significant consideration for developers seeking to deliver housing and infrastructure at scale.
He also drew attention to the disparity between lending conditions in Nigeria and those obtainable in more developed financial markets, noting that more favourable lending rates could give developers greater capacity to undertake projects capable of addressing some of the housing needs of the wider population.
The Ragnarok MD also discussed the potential impact of more favourable tax policies and rebates for real estate companies, noting that such incentives could encourage greater investment and improve development capacity within the sector.
The emphasis on realtors at the event reflects Ragnarok’s view of real estate professionals as strategic partners in the development process, with performance recognition serving as a means of strengthening that relationship.
For Ragnarok, the Purple Town Hall is also part of a broader story of growth.
Founded seven years ago, Ragnarok Property Development Limited has expanded its portfolio to five developments across strategic locations in Lagos. Some of its developments has achieved full subscription, while other projects have recorded subscription levels of 60 percent and above.
The company’s portfolio includes The Alverton, its completed development in Sangotedo which is now fully sold out; Alverton II, currently under construction within Ajayi Apata Estate, Sangotedo; Oakley, located in the Ibeju-Lekki corridor; and Laguna Seaview, a luxury sea-facing development positioned within the Lagoon district of Lekki Phase 1 area.
The developments reflect Ragnarok’s broader approach of identifying locations with long-term growth potential and developing properties around the changing needs and aspirations of Lagos’ expanding population.
The Purple Town Hall therefore served a dual purpose: recognising the individuals driving Ragnarok’s sales performance while creating a space for wider conversations about the direction of the Nigerian real estate industry.
The strong attendance, with more than 150 people present, underscored the growing importance of collaboration between developers and realtors in an increasingly competitive property market.
