Three years of filming across two continents has finally birthed an eight-episode action thriller series, ‘Ordinary People’, by multiple award winning producer, director and screenwriter, Moses Inwang.

The film which premiered on Netflix recently brings together wholesome ensemble of Ghanaian and Nigerian cast in a story combining high-stakes action with intimate human drama. The series features Ramsey Nouah, Adunni Ade, Chidi Mokeme, Michelle Dede, Lasisi Elenu, Eddy Watson and Shawn Faqua.

Also appearing are Sharon Ooja, Jackie Appiah, Adjetey Anang, Gbenga Titiloye, Bimbo Manuel, Aproko Doctor, Randa Eissa, Stanley Evans and Margaret Echeghe. Ordinary People is about the masks we wear and the truths we hide,” Inwang said.

“I wanted to tell a story about people who look like us, live next door to us, and yet are capable of the extraordinary when pushed to the edge. This has been a labour of love, and I’m proud to finally share it with the world on Netflix.”

Inwang disclosed the project took three years to make after he first conceived the idea six years ago. He described Ordinary People as the most star-studded film or television series ever produced in Nigeria. He describes ‘Ordinary People’ as his most ambitious project yet, following years of development and production.

At the heart of the series are the residents of Mirage Estate, whose apparently ordinary lives begin to unravel as secrets from their past collide with dangers in the present.

The unfolding events force neighbours to confront difficult choices about loyalty, ambition, redemption and survival, while testing how far they are prepared to go to protect the lives they have built.

Filming across Nigeria and Germany gives the production a broader visual canvas, with Lagos and Bayelsa joining Berlin as major locations for the series. Inwang, a multiple award-winning director, producer and screenwriter, has previously directed productions including Blood Vessel, Alter Ego, Merry Men 2 & 3, Bad Comments, Crazy People and Lockdown.
