Filmmaker, storyteller, and animation creator Mr. Chidera Godslove Obasi (CGO), Founder and Creative Director of GCU Studios and God’slove Studios, is set to introduce audiences to LagoBunz: The Lie About Independence Day, an original animated film that blends suspense, mystery, action, and social commentary into a uniquely African story.

Set against a fictional backdrop inspired by themes of history, identity, leadership, and nation-building, LagoBunz challenges audiences to look beyond familiar narratives and ask deeper questions about the past, the present, and the future. While entirely fictional, the project is designed to encourage thoughtful conversations through compelling storytelling rather than provide historical retellings.

Produced by God’slove Studios under the expanding GCU (God’slove Comic Universe), LagoBunz represents the studio’s commitment to creating world-class African intellectual property capable of entertaining audiences both at home and across the globe.
