How Globacom Harnesses the Power of Rewards to Deepen Loyalty, Drive Growth and Inspire Excellence

Globacom has long recognised that rewarding loyalty is more than an act of appreciation as it is a strategy for strengthening partnerships, inspiring excellence and driving growth. Staying true to that philosophy, the digital solutions provider recently celebrated its top-performing business partners at the 2026 Glo Partners’ Reward Gala in Lagos, where it honoured outstanding dealers while showcasing new innovations designed to deliver greater value to customers. Chiemelie Ezeobi reports

For more than two decades, Globacom has understood a simple but powerful truth: rewarding loyalty is not just an act of appreciation, it is a business strategy that strengthens partnerships, motivates performance and drives sustainable growth.

From rewarding millions of subscribers through promotions and loyalty campaigns to celebrating its vast network of business partners with cash prizes, cars and other incentives, the telecommunications company has consistently demonstrated that recognising excellence is central to its corporate philosophy.

Whether through consumer promotions, dealer incentive schemes or exclusive appreciation events, Globacom has built a reputation for ensuring that those who contribute to its success share in the rewards.

Partners Reward Gala

That commitment was once again on display on Thursday when the digital solutions provider honoured its top-performing business partners at the 2026 Glo Partners’ Reward Gala held at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The exclusive event brought together the company’s strategic business and trade partners for an evening of celebration, entertainment and recognition. Beyond the glamour, the gala underscored Globacom’s determination to acknowledge outstanding performance while inspiring even stronger collaboration in the years ahead.

A total of 115 exceptional dealers were rewarded with millions of naira in cash and other prizes for their outstanding performance between January and June 2026.

Building Partnerships That Drive Success

Welcoming guests, Globacom’s Cluster Head, Lagos 2, Abdul Rasaq Ande, who represented the company, said the gathering was designed to celebrate not only individual achievements but also the shared commitment that has sustained the company’s growth over the years.

“The event was organised to celebrate not just individuals, but the synergy, the shared vision, and the collaborative mindset that sparks true innovation,” he said.

He described the company’s partners as the foundation of the Globacom ecosystem. “Our partners have, over the years been the bedrock of the Globacom ecosystem, and their success is our success,” Ande stated.

Reflecting on the company’s journey, he noted that Globacom has spent 23 years transforming Nigeria’s telecommunications landscape through innovation and quality service.

“It has been 23 incredible years of operation; you will recall that we commenced business on August 29, 2003. It has been 23 years of technological revolution, innovation and service excellence. Globacom’s promise to you remains unchanged.

“We will continue investing heavily in next-generation tools, upgrading our infrastructure, and ensuring our network stays second to none,” he said.

Innovation Focused on Customer Value

While celebrating its partners, the company also unveiled initiatives aimed at delivering greater value to subscribers.

Among them is the “More Data More Value” proposition, designed to ensure that every naira spent by customers delivers greater digital benefits, reinforcing Globacom’s long-standing reputation for affordability and customer empowerment.

The company also used the occasion to showcase its technological and marketing advancements aimed at improving customer experience nationwide.

Partners received updates on the company’s achievements over the past year, including the introduction of Gloria, an AI-powered Glo Café voice assistant built to improve customer engagement and service delivery in six languages.

Globacom also highlighted the expansion of its Borrow Me Credit service.

“There is also the ‘Borrow Me Credit’ service, a strategic initiative which has been expanded to ensure that no subscriber is ever disconnected due to a low or zero balance. The Glo Café is also being reinvigorated to ensure unique online experiences for millions of Glo subscribers,” the company said.

An Evening of Glamour and Celebration

Beyond the business presentations, the evening reflected the warmth and excitement that have become synonymous with Globacom’s appreciation events.

One of the major attractions was the “Rep Your Region” Best Dressed Competition, where partners showcased Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage in colourful traditional attire.

Alamin Muhammed Suleiman of Benjee Communication and Anthonia Agbasi of Chicadef Global Limited emerged winners in the male and female categories respectively, each receiving a cash prize of ₦500,000.

Guests were also entertained by renowned live band performer Segun Johnson, while comedian Gordons kept the audience laughing throughout the evening with support from television host and brand influencer Mo Abebe.

Partners Applaud Globacom’s Generosity

For many of the dealers, however, the biggest takeaway was the company’s consistent commitment to recognising excellence.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Managing Director of Demmy Global Resources, Ademola Akinlabi, and Alhaji Yusuf Yahaya of Lambadaya Stores praised Globacom for its generosity.

They commended the company for rewarding dealers across multiple categories with cars, millions of naira in cash and other incentives, describing the recognition as a strong motivation to continue supporting the brand’s growth.

Rewarding Excellence Beyond Recognition

As the celebration drew to a close in the early hours of Friday, the event reinforced a philosophy that has distinguished Globacom over the years: partnerships flourish when commitment is recognised, excellence is rewarded and success is shared.

In an increasingly competitive telecommunications industry, where technology continues to evolve rapidly, Globacom appears convinced that while innovation drives progress, appreciation sustains relationships.

Through consistent investments in its network, customer-focused innovations and a culture of rewarding both subscribers and business partners, the company continues to strengthen the loyalty that has remained one of its greatest competitive advantages.
