Hazibian International Awards ₦1m Grant to Winner of Nexus 2.0 Startup Pitch Competition
Hazibian International Limited has awarded a ₦1 million business grant to Nutraboom, winner of the Nexus 2.0 Startup Pitch Competition, as part of its efforts to support entrepreneurship and innovation in Nigeria.
The cheque was presented by the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hazibian International Limited, Mrs. Terah Melford, at the grand finale of the competition, which featured startups pitching innovative business ideas aimed at addressing socio-economic challenges.
Nutraboom emerged winner after impressing the panel of judges with its business model, growth prospects and potential for economic impact. According to the organisers, the grant is expected to support the startup’s expansion plans and strengthen its market presence.
Speaking at the event, Melford said supporting entrepreneurship had become increasingly important in driving economic growth and job creation.
She noted that young entrepreneurs remain critical to Nigeria’s economic future and stressed the need for greater private sector investment in innovative businesses.
According to her, the grant reflects the company’s commitment to supporting promising startups by providing early-stage funding capable of helping them transform ideas into sustainable enterprises.
“Our vision extends beyond real estate. We are committed to supporting wealth creation, enterprise development and sustainable economic growth by creating opportunities for entrepreneurs to grow and succeed,” she said.
She added that initiatives such as the Nexus 2.0 Startup Pitch Competition provide a platform for innovators to showcase their ideas, attract investment and contribute to national development.
