Owerri , Imo State — Regions Healthcare Hospital, a multi-specialty tertiary hospital in Mgbirichi, Imo State, has been nominated for Private Tertiary Healthcare Facility of the Year at the 12th Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Awards (NHEA) 2026, in recognition of its contribution to specialist healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
The NHEA is one of the country’s leading healthcare recognition platforms, celebrating hospitals, professionals, and institutions advancing quality care through innovation and patient-centered service. This year’s edition is themed “Innovation, Local Manufacturing and Digital Transformation in Healthcare.”
Since its establishment, Regions Healthcare has grown into one of Nigeria’s foremost referral centres for stroke care, neurosciences, interventional cardiology, open-heart surgery, neurosurgery, nephrology, critical care, and advanced diagnostics, drawing patients from across Nigeria and beyond.
