South South Media Week 2026 to Spotlight Impact with CSR Awards Honouring Change-Makers in Niger Delta
As conversations shift from visibility to real impact, South South Media Week (SSMW) 2026 is placing a strong spotlight on individuals and organizations driving meaningful change across the Niger Delta.
As part of activities for this year’s conference, the platform will host its CSR Awards, aimed at recognizing and celebrating outstanding contributions to community development, social impact, and humanitarian efforts within the region.
The event, scheduled to hold this weekend on May 8th and 9th, 2026, at The Grace Place, Evo Road, GRA, Port Harcourt, will bring together business leaders, creatives, innovators, and policymakers for two days of conversations and recognition.
Now in its seventh edition, South South Media Week has evolved beyond a strategy conference into a platform that not only drives ideas but also acknowledges those translating vision into tangible impact.
With the 2026 theme, “Bold & Deeper,” the introduction of the CSR awards reinforces the conference’s broader message—encouraging stakeholders to go beyond surface-level achievements and focus on initiatives that create lasting value within communities.
Speaking ahead of the event, Convener Tammy Halliday noted that recognizing impact is a critical part of building a sustainable ecosystem.
“It’s not just about conversations. It’s about celebrating those who are doing the work—those creating real change in communities and pushing development forward,” he said.
The awards will highlight individuals and organizations whose efforts in areas such as social development, innovation, and community support have significantly contributed to the growth of the Niger Delta.
With partners including Spotify, Cribz, Hop Services, Buzz Africa PR, The Reach, and AI Advantage Hub, this year’s edition is expected to further amplify both innovation and impact across the region.
As South South Media Week 2026 kicks off this weekend, the CSR Awards add a deeper layer to the conference—positioning it not just as a hub for ideas, but as a platform that recognizes and rewards those shaping the future through action.
