Nigerian Researcher Appointed Student Representative in NORSI Doctoral Network
Nigerian researcher Arome Ibrahim has been appointed Student Representative of the Nordic Research School in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NORSI), a leading doctoral research network that connects doctoral students across universities in the Nordic region.
Arome is a doctoral researcher co-enrolled at LUT University Finland and RMIT University Australia. His research, part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie DREAM+PLAN doctoral program, focuses on regenerative futures within the context of impactful technology entrepreneurship.
The Nordic Research School in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NORSI) supports PhD education and research collaboration across Nordic universities, offering doctoral courses, seminars, and networking opportunities for scholars studying innovation and entrepreneurship.
Before his appointment to NORSI, he served as Programme Representative for the Erasmus Mundus Master in Impact Entrepreneurship (EMMIE) program and as Programme Representative within the Erasmus Mundus Students and Alumni Association (EMA), with over 12,000 active Erasmus Mundus students and alumni members.
He also helped strengthen Erasmus Mundus engagement in Africa as part of the administrative team for Erasmus Mundus Nigeria, supporting outreach, student engagement, and networking for scholars and future applicants.
Speaking about the appointment, Arome said the role offers an opportunity to strengthen collaboration among doctoral researchers in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, foster closer links between academic research and innovation ecosystems, and support the career development of doctoral students within the network.
