Konkere Designs Launches Rose from Konkrete

Konkéré Designs, Nigeria’s pioneering sustainable concrete furniture brand, has launched Rose from Konkrete, its flagship CSR initiative dedicated to driving sustainable impact in education through design.

The program aims to create and donate durable, eco-conscious furniture to schools in underserved communities across Nigeria, ensuring that every child learns in an environment that is safe, dignified, and inspiring.

Speaking at the launch, Creative Director of Konkéré Designs, Oluwaseyi Gbadebo, shared the heart behind the initiative.

According to him, “At Konkéré, we believe design goes beyond products; it’s about creating opportunities and lasting change. Through Rose from Konkrete, we’re using our craft to shape brighter futures, one school at a time.”

The first phase of the initiative took place at OriOke Community High School in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, where Konkéré Designs donated custom-built library tables in partnership with Gradeplus Africa.

This inaugural donation was made in memory of Mrs. Taiwo Christiana Adesanwo, the late mother of Konkéré’s Creative Director, whose life was devoted to education and youth empowerment.

“Her passion for learning and her belief in young people’s potential continue to inspire everything we do. This is more than a donation, it’s a legacy of love and impact,” Gbadebo added.

By using concrete and other sustainable materials, Konkéré Designs continues to challenge conventions in Nigeria’s furniture industry proving that sustainability and social responsibility can coexist beautifully. Through Rose from Konkrete, the company plans to expand its reach, partnering with individuals and organizations who share its vision of accessible, inspiring learning spaces for every child.
