Asotiayé Unveils Sustainable Line, Toju Ilé

In its latest drop, Nigerian fashion house Asotiayé continues its mission to merge heritage with modernity through a new sustainability collection, Toju Ilé which celebrates culture, identity, and conscious living.

Unlike traditional fashion cycles where unsold or unused garments often go to waste, Asotiayé has chosen a different path. Pieces from past collections have been carefully reimagined and brought together to form an entirely new collection. Instead of burning and causing pollution, the brand has embraced a circular approach, re-using, re-styling, and re-inventing to create something both fresh and meaningful.

True to its name, Tòju ìlé which means “take care of home” the collection is rooted in the Yoruba philosophy that emphasizes preservation, responsibility, and harmony. Each design carries a layered story: one of heritage, sustainability, and the enduring beauty of African artistry.

According to the Lagos based fashion house, fashion should never come at the cost of our environment.

“Hence, with this collection, we are proving that sustainability can coexist with elegance, cultural identity, and craftsmanship.

The pieces in the collection consists of vibrant, innovative, and timeless outfits that embodies the essence of our heritage as Africans whilst reimagining what sustainable fashion can look like.

Each design is a statement, not only of style but also of a commitment to a cleaner, more thoughtful future for fashion,” Creative Director, Asotiayé, Abdulhameed Ayodeji stated.
