NIDOA, NAPAC Celebrate New Lawyers, Honours Excellence

A coalition of Nigerian Diaspora organisations, Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Americas (NIDOA) and Nigerian American Public Affairs Committee (NAPAC), have jointly extended heartfelt congratulations to the 2025 Call to Bar class.

The Nigerian Diaspora organisations specially recognised Munachisom Ochiabutor, the Best Graduating Student of the Nigerian Law School, Kano Campus, and 13th Best Graduating Student out of over 7,000 nationwide.

According to the organisations, Munachisom’s extraordinary achievement—earning First Class Honours and receiving the prestigious Director General’s Prize for First Class Students—stands as a testament to the power of discipline, dedication, and academic excellence.
In a joint statement, the organisations noted that at a time when Nigeria’s future rests in the hands of its emerging leaders, they are celebrating these brilliant minds who have chosen the path of law and service to society.

“We commend every newly called barrister for their resilience and commitment to justice in the face of global uncertainties. Nigeria and Nigerians in the Diaspora remain resilient, attentive and committed to holding ourselves accountable.

“Munachisom Ochiabutor is a beacon of the promise Nigeria holds. His success is not just his—it’s a win for every young Nigerian who dares to dream, work hard, and rise with integrity,” the statement reads.
It also noted that the youths of Nigeria are its most valuable resource while encouraging every young Nigerian, whether in the diaspora or at home, to stay focused, embrace hard work, and never lose faith in their potential to make meaningful impact.

“As Munachisom’s story proves, excellence is possible—and the world is watching. Our coalition remains committed to supporting and celebrating Nigerian excellence across the globe and continues to foster meaningful engagement between the diaspora and the homeland through mentorship, education, policy advocacy, and investments,” the statement adds.
