How Evidence Adhalakpo Turned Passion for Travel Into Profit
At just 27, Evidence Adhalakpo is quietly redefining how a generation of Nigerians experience global travel. But her journey to the top of Nigeria’s competitive travel and tourism industry did not begin with privilege ,it began with pain.
Orphaned at a young age and raised in Delta State, Adhalakpo’s early years were marked by adversity. Yet, what she lacked in resources, she made up for in resilience. Today, she is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Trip District Travels, a multimillion-naira travel and lifestyle brand that has quickly become a trusted name for curated group trips, visa support services, and personalized travel planning.
“I didn’t wait to visit 44 countries before creating my brand, I built Trip District from scratch, driven by nothing but my passion. I believed in the power of travel even before I experienced it myself.”
Trip District Travels was born out of a vision to democratize access to travel particularly for young Nigerians who often view international tourism as something reserved for the elite. From coordinating hassle-free travel packages to offering first-time flyers the confidence to explore beyond Nigeria’s borders, the company has grown into a movement.
For Adhalakpo, the goal has always been clear: to make the world feel accessible.
“Many people have the desire to travel but don’t know where to start. Some are waiting for friends to join them. Others are overwhelmed by visa requirements or just don’t have the time to plan. That’s where we come in,” she explains.
The numbers speak for themselves. With over 44 countries visited personally, and hundreds of trips organized for clients across multiple continents, Trip District has helped demystify international travel for Nigerians from all walks of life.
What started as a solo initiative—powered by nothing more than passion and a social media account—has grown into a full-fledged enterprise. Today, Trip District boasts a loyal customer base, strong digital presence, and increasing recognition within the global travel community.
Still, Adhalakpo remains grounded in her mission.
“It’s always been about making people feel like travel is possible for them. Because it is,” she says.
In a time when many young Nigerians are exploring opportunities abroad, Adhalakpo’s journey highlights how clarity of purpose and determination can lead to meaningful impact. Her experience reflects the broader potential of turning personal vision into something that resonates beyond individual success.
