UBACLE GROUP Signs Battery Manufacturing Deal with World’s Third Largest Producer, SVOLT

UBACLE GROUP has signed a landmark battery manufacturing agreement with SVOLT, the world’s third-largest battery producer, in a deal poised to significantly boost clean energy innovation and industrial capacity in Nigeria.

The agreement, finalized at a high-level meeting recently will see SVOLT provide technical expertise, supply chain infrastructure, and production technology to support UBACLE’s plans to establish a first large-scale lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, UBACLE GROUP CEO, Hon. Uba Michael called the deal “a game-changer for the energy industry in Nigeria.”

“This partnership with SVOLT is a bold step toward energy independence and industrial transformation,” He said. “We’re not just building batteries—we’re building the future of clean technology in Nigeria.”

SVOLT, a spin-off of Chinese automotive giant Great Wall Motors, ranks third globally in battery production, supplying major electric vehicle (EV) brands across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

The deal is expected to attract additional foreign investment and spark regional interest in battery technology and electric mobility.
