Kendrick Ahkimie: Redefining Real Estate in Nigeria with Innovation, Integrity

Rebecca Ejifoma
Kendrick Ahkimie’s vision for real estate in Nigeria is rooted in personal experience, professional evolution, and a deep sense of purpose.
Although he began his career as a Mechanical Engineer, his journey took an unexpected turn. After spending a few years overseas and completing professional programs at Pan-Atlantic University, Kendrick returned to Nigeria with a fresh perspective and a mission to approach real estate the right way.
Before founding RareAcre Investment Limited, Ahkimie experienced the same frustrations many Nigerian property investors face. He lost money due to poor documentation and lack of transparency, a painful but pivotal moment that reshaped his path.
“That loss shaped me,” he shares. “It made me determined to create a company where clients wouldn’t have to go through what I did.”
Ahkimie’s entry into the real estate space began with brokerage and construction services, giving him hands-on exposure to the entire value chain—from connecting clients with valuable properties to managing complex project deliveries.
With almost a decade of experience across real estate and construction, and over five years deeply immersed in building, he brings a rare blend of insight and practical expertise to every project.
Today, Ahkimie is the Founder and CEO of RareAcre Investment Limited, a company committed to developing functional, high-quality properties that meet client needs and redefine the concept of luxury.
“The verification process in Nigeria can be difficult,” he explained. “Policies are inconsistent, documentation isn’t always reliable, and unfortunately, some developers cut corners. That’s why we go the extra mile to ensure every RareAcre property is properly vetted. Our clients deserve peace of mind.”
RareAcre’s newest project, Resida Apartment, is a bold reflection of that vision. Located in Sangotedo, Ajah-Lekki, the 11-unit, 4-bedroom terrace duplex development broke ground this March.
Designed with a focus on cutting-edge architecture, innovation and functionality, and modern luxury, Resida is a living testament to RareAcre’s promise of excellence. RareAcre is also introducing technology into the industry where you can monitor and manage your home from anywhere you are.
Beyond Resida, RareAcre is also leading the development of Allure Luxury Villa and Have & Haven Hotel & Suites, both situated in Lekki. These projects further establish RareAcre as a rising force in high-end property development.
Looking ahead, the company is eyeing expansion into Lagos’s most prestigious locations, including Eko Atlantic and Lekki Phase 1. While these multi-billion-naira projects are still in the conceptual phase, they reflect a bold and intentional step toward shaping the future of luxury living in Nigeria.
In addition to design and construction, RareAcre is also bringing technology into the real estate space to enhance how people experience property ownership and investment. From smarter project management systems to improved client engagement tools, the company is infusing innovation into every stage of the process, making it easier, faster, and more transparent.
“We’re not just building homes. We’re building smarter ways to own, manage, and interact with property,” Ahkimie adds. Yet for him, real estate is more than business.
“You need resilience, patience, and a strong ethical foundation,” he advises aspiring professionals. “But if you lead with integrity and innovation, there’s room to do something truly meaningful.”
At his core, Ahkimie is not just a developer or entrepreneur. He is a devoted husband, a loving father, and a passionate lover of God. His personal mantra, Value First, influences every decision. For him, success isn’t just measured by profit, it is defined by impact.
Through RareAcre, Ahkimie is building more than homes. He is restoring trust in an industry that desperately needs it, with heart, honesty, and a vision rooted in purpose.
