Empower Her Voice Conference Officially Declared Open by Hon. Ngozi Enih in Celebration of International Women’s Day

The Empower Her Voice Conference, an initiative dedicated to amplifying women’s voices and fostering gender equality, officially commenced today as part of the International Women’s Day celebration. The one-day event, designed to inspire, educate, and empower women, was declared open by the Honorable Commissioner for Children, Gender Affairs, and Social Development, Hon. Ngozi Enih.

In her opening remarks, Hon. Enih emphasized the significance of Empower Her Voice, describing it as more than just an event but a movement committed to breaking barriers and ensuring that women’s contributions are acknowledged in leadership, business, governance, and social development.

“This conference is a powerful platform to celebrate the resilience, strength, and potential of women. As we mark International Women’s Day, we reaffirm our commitment to creating opportunities that allow women to thrive. Women are the backbone of society, and it is our duty to ensure their voices are not just heard but truly valued,” she stated.

Following the Commissioner’s address, Mr. Emmanuel Anabueze, Director of Communication and Project Director of Empower Her Voice, expressed his gratitude to Hon. Enih for taking the time to officially declare the event open.
