Update Afrika Chair, Joseph Effiong Bags Continental Award for Humanitarian Works

Chairman, Update Afrika Communications, a leading media solutions provider, Dr Joseph Effiong has been recognized for his service to humanity and selfless dedication  to the greater good of African society. 

His efforts were appreciated at the just concluded African Humanitarian Award, 
where  his record stood out among over 3000 shortlisted across Africa. 

The African Humanitarian Award initiative  recognizes  and honors exceptional humanitarians making a positive impact across Africa, fostering a sense of continental unity and pride.

Overall,  60 individuals were rewarded for their exemplary services,including  Effiong who secured a win  in the ‘Arts for Humanity’ category. 

This latest recognition adds up to Effiong’s growing list of accolades for his entrepreneurial strides, constructive youth advocacy and benevolence, amongst others. 

The award ceremony held amid style in Sheraton Hotels, Lagos, Nigeria and graced with the presence of notable dignitaries, key state actors, investors and technocrats. 

Program Lead for The African Humanitarian Awards, Samuel Akinyemi remarked that Effiong’s nomination remains a testament to his dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of others.

“We are  thrilled to honour him for these impactful works. His dedication to using his platform to uplift others exemplifies the true spirit of humanitarianism,” he stated. 

Effiong while responding dedicated the award to individuals and communities who have inspired and supported his vision  in one way or the other.

He said, “As I reflect on our charitable works, I’m reminded that our efforts are driven by a shared belief in the dignity and potentially of every human being. We’re committed to uplifting each other and championing the rights of the vulnerable, inspired by the   resilience of individuals who face poverty, illness, and injustice.

” I further dedicate this award to mothers struggling to feed their children, orphans seeking safety, and activists dreaming of a better tomorrow. Your strength fuels our commitment to creating meaningful changes.”
