Yosola Adekanmbi Honoured with 2024 Community Impact Award by Flutter Developers Circle
A great way to end the year as grassroots tech champion is celebrated for his unwavering service to talent development in Nigeria
In a moment of well-deserved recognition, Yosola Adekanmbi has been named the recipient of the 2024 Community Impact Award by the Flutter Developers Circle, honouring his outstanding commitment to nurturing tech talent and creating positive change in Nigeria’s digital economy. The award was presented on 12th December 2024. This recognition follows another milestone last year when Yosola received the Mentorship Excellence Award from the Association of Computer Science Students, a testament to his consistent and meaningful engagement with the student tech community.

Yosola’s impact spans across various layers of Nigeria’s digital ecosystem. From leading youth focused initiatives in AI and Data Science, to mentoring developers in the regions Flutter mobile development community, he has helped build a future focused talent pipeline through workshops, speaking engagements, and open source collaboration. His influence is particularly strong among students and early career professionals, many of whom credit him with helping them discover their passion and navigate the tech space with confidence.
According to Oluwatoyosi, Lead of the Flutter Developers Circle, “Yosola’s name kept coming up when we asked our members who had made the most impact in their growth journeys. We ran a survey across our community members and his name stood out overwhelmingly. His work embodies the spirit of community, and this award is our way of saying thank you.” One of his mentees present at the award ceremony, Ibukun, shared: “He believed in me when I had zero confidence in my abilities. Watching him get honoured like this is not just inspiring it’s a reminder that building others is the highest form of leadership.”
What sets Yosola apart is his firm belief in early intervention, his “get them young” approach targets students and teenagers before they’ve settled into traditional career expectations. “Technology gives the average Nigerian child a shot at global relevance,” he said during his award speech. “It opens their mind beyond law or medicine and shows them they can build, lead, and compete anywhere in the world.”
We join the ecosystem in celebrating Yosola on this milestone and are confident that this award is only the beginning of even greater recognition not just for him, but for the countless lives he continues to shape.
